Summon Pufferfish
Use the Carrot Bait obtained from the endangered-creature Tourist exchange.
Circle trees and cover
Keep moving around trees or other solid obstacles so the boss has fewer clean approaches.
Avoid purple poison
Leave poisoned ground immediately and preserve food for recovery rather than trying to stand through damage.
